[2016] Harry Reid lied about Mitt Romney’s taxes. He’s still not sorry. [Mentor to Democrat Leaders]

... That is the ultimate statement of political cynicism. What Reid is saying — if you consider the comments to Bash last year and those to Terris recently — is that the ends justify the means in all cases. It doesn't really matter if what he said about Romney's taxes is wrong. All that matters is that Romney lost. That Romney lost is justification enough for Reid to have made the false allegation. ...

Harry M Reid was 30 years a US Senator (NV) and Senate Majority Leader for 8 years coinciding 6 years of the Obama Administration. In that time, he was a mentor and leader of many of the current Democrats we now see in the Kavanaugh affair. Of particular note here is the question cited in this article put to retired Senator Reid by Washington Post reporter Ben Terris; "Is there a line he wouldn’t cross when it comes to political warfare?" Reid's response? "“I don’t know what that line would be”

And interestingly enough, Lizzie Warren seems to have made a number of numerical mistakes on her taxes!

D- Honest Mistake
R- Tax Fraud
Reid- Hey it worked, what’s your problem?

This is the response the Bolsheviks would give “the end justifies the means”. I remember Bill Clinton acknowledging that JFK and LBJ prob. didn’t win the 1960 election, that it was stolen in Illinois and Texas. But he retorted that JFK and LBJ were such wonderful presidents as compared to what Nixon would have done that it was justified. Unless it had been done to HIM, of course.

Not saying that Schumer & cohorts would have been different without the guidelines put down by the lamentable Sen. Reid, but what he got away with is a part of their tactics.

The irony though is, of course, it is his, Reid, prior use of the Nuclear Option that is what gives us the 50 + VP choice for Kavanaugh. When Reid threw out the 60 majority requirement, we lost then but are gaining now (I HOPE!)

The democrat tradition that it’s okay to lie, nd even to destroy lives, for a political win started long before Dirty Harry Reid, and it will last long after DiFi and Ford are forgotten.

I went back to Reid’s 3/31/2015 interview with Dana Lash. When she went through a list of potential Republican candidates; Rubio, Cruz, Graham, Jeb Bush, asking him what he thought of them, I kept waiting for her to mention Trump. Then I realized the interview was before Trump announced his candidacy.

Wow has the world changed since then.
