A new poll has bad news for Democrat Andrew Janz, who is running against Republican Rep. Devin Nunes in the November election.
Pollsters at the University of California, Berkeley, Institute for Governmental Studies surveyed more than 5,000 likely voters in eight California congressional districts and found that Democrats were well positioned to capture a number of GOP-held seats considered by neutral observers to be in play in this years congressional elections.
But in the 22nd District, the trend doesnt hold: Incumbent Nunes, a Tulare Republican, had the support of 53 percent of likely voters, while Democratic challenger Janz had 45 percent.

Blue wave my tuckus.

This is good news but usually incumbents have the advantage. Then again, we are talking about California.
2 week old poll. That was then, what is it today?? Only bothersome part of poll is it was likely voters. My question, how many of these likely voters who vote democrat are alive??
Well, the local media is blitzing us 24/7 here in the valley with their anti-Nunes propaganda so might as well get a little glimmer of good news out while we can.

A fair and impartial bunch to be sure, Ze Scouts honor!
Zero is a number too.
Rcp posted these 10 day old polls last night by unknown pollster in BERKELEY. Only The Rohrbacher poll is in line with other polls. ALL other ones are way left of other polls.
Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) is the guy who needs a boost...the same poll has him down 5 points to a well funded challenger.
Yay - Go Devin!!!
Devin is in no danger at all. Visalia/Tulare is the Bible Belt of California.
As the Democratic Party approaches total dominance of all federal offices in California I expect that there will be a showdown between California and the Fedral Government that will involve Federal Courts and Federal troops. These leftists are insane and think that they can scream and fight their way through, around, and over anything that opposes them. Civil War II will start in California and will probably pull in Washington and Oregon.
The blue swirl down the bowl in 30 days.
I haven’t heard much chatter from the drive bys about the blue wave recently. Wonder why???
They are too busy in the Kavanaugh takedown. They only do one story at a time seems like.
The farmers whose water was cut off by the Dems a couple years ago WILL REMEMBER it in NOVEMBER. Nunes was the only congressman who stood up and fought for about 40,000-60,000 farm and related workers.
Glad to hear it - he’s a good guy
I could be wrong, but I sincerely believe that it is the democrats who will lose seat in California, nit Republicans.
When you have complete control of a state that is spiraling down as fast as California is, seldom do those in power keep such power. Even in a screwed up illegal voting state like California.
I am not saying that Republicans will take over the state, but I do not see the Democrats having as much success this November in Ca as many are worried about.
I’m sure he’s ahead but the poll could be a strategy to make conservatives in that district complacent. Vote early and often!
That there are any Republican congressmen at all in California, outside of S. Diego metro, who are not RINOs, is itself amazing.
