[I caught a little of Rush today, but he said many GOP members of the Senate were receiving death threats, and threats toward their family. Probably Collins and Flake more than others, now that they’re voting for Kavanaugh.I imagine the threats toward Kavanaugh have been awful, and with two little ones, what a nightmare to live.

And a professor who makes death threats, toward the GOP and the result is she’s being sent off to Europe for awhile. So many of the online threats, are probably hard to track, but this woman puts her threats right out there on twitter, and still no consequence.]

My impression is that death threats don’t amount to much. The ratio of actual attempts to pure bluster is probably no more than 1 to 1000, and probably far lower. People who want to kill a public figure probably want to get away clean. You don’t do that by telegraphing your intent.
