I do not believe she wanted to be “anonymous.” She just said that to sound weak and innocent. It was always the intention to do what they did.

If I recall correctly, thats the same thing the dems did during the nomination of clarence thomas. Anita Hill thought she could sink the nomination by making her accusations anonymously. The fbi looked into her claims and found nothing to them. Time passes and it was getting closer to the vote on the nomination. The dems, needing a reason to oppose the nomination, were getting desperate and leaked anitas claims and her name to the liberal press who in turn had a field day with this information. The dems then pretended to be taken by surprise and oh so concerned about this “new” relevation.
Anita wasnt counting on her accusation and name being made public. So she she had to either keep telling her tall tale or admit she lied. We all know she chose the former.
