Curmudgeon Oats for breakfast Mark? Can’t he just say thanks for a job well done and leave it at that?

I think it does a disservice to real heroes to throw her in with them. To quote a famous bad guy from The Incredibles, “When everybody’s super, nobody’s super.”

Fox News won’t let it go. They’re acting like she made history but she just voted like everyone else except Murcowski.

Frankly, I agree with Mark. She did what she was sent to the Senate as a REPUBLICAN to do. Glad that she did the right thing.

As a fellow curmudgeon, I found her speech rather disgusting.

It was overly grandiose, self-serving and the privilege of delivering the speech was purchased by playing the female card against her own party.

Okay, maybe she didn't screw the nation but she did screw her fellow Republicans.

Both her and Murkowski deserve to be abandoned by the Pubbies.

Agree. Yes, Collins could just vote yes and be done with it. But, instead she (and her staff) took the time and put in the work to write and deliver a very detailed, comprehensive speech which was very well delivered - and will go a long way toward removing any cloud of uncertainty that may linger from Kavanaugh. Churchillian? No, won’t compare to Churchill’s “we will fight them on the beaches, in the fields” speech but an excellent speech and timely for sure.

In weeks to come we need to push back on some things she slipped in the. Search the phrase “more likely than not” and get back to us.

Job well done? The ONLY reason there should have been any question about Kavanaugh was the outside chance he might go “Kennedy “ on us. Is she a hero? No, no more than 50 other senators. Is she a squishy RINO drama queen? Absolutely.

It was a great speech in terms of reaching out to women and independents and explaining her vote. I think she won over a lot of people in the public arena.

Her minimum standard for credibility — was it more likely true than not? — will become a classic way to evaluate such claims without appearing too callous.

And she was merciless with the Democrats, erring only by exonerating Diane Feinstein of leaking the letter.

She was wrong to believe Blasey Ford experienced sexual harassment by anyone — she was just acting out a scandalous lie. But, Senator Collins’s willingness to give Blasey Ford the benefit of the doubt and be sympathetic to her plight was good optics in the court of public opinion. It absolutely sealed the deal for Kavanaugh.

I say kudos to Senator Collins. It was a speech that will go down in history and will long be remembered as a speech that changed the course of history, cementing a conservative majority on the Supreme Court. She also rescued a good man from the vicious slanders against him by a lying activist in a concerted plot organized by the wicked and tyrannical Democrat Party aided by paid-for mobs getting in everyone’s face.

It is an enormous accomplishment for a single speech at a critical moment.

The Left is weeping in sorrow today and we can rejoice in their tears.

No, her show and the fawning over her speech is ridiculous

Did you listen to her speech? I was thinking the same thing...WTF Kavanaugh is not someone I would support if what she said was true.

But having said that if that’s what it takes to get her vote so be it. I hope he’s not who she thinks he is though or we have another breyer on our hands.

Back in the 'old days' when some of us used the 'long drop' in the backyard for our 'necessary business', there was often an old Sears & Roebuck catalog for the 'paperwork' after your business was complete. If the pages ran out before a new catalog arrived, some folks had to resort to using dried corncobs (after the corn had been shelled).

If someone were in a ornery mood, the inevitable comment directed their way was, "Corncobs, huh?" If they were exceptionally nasty, a comment was made to others, "Sounds like he has a corncob stuck .. ... ..."

My comments on his FB post:

Can you stop being an a#%*¥le just once, ML? No, I count on Collins for no conservative votes, ever, but when you get a big honkin' gift like this, just say "thank you" and move on, mmm'kay? Her speech was magnificent and better than anything you could have come up with (is that why you feel the need to demean it?). I was a loyal follower of you until Feb 2016 when in the first week of your crappy tv show you trashed Trump and endorsed Cruz - who had NO realistic shot at winning a general election. Will you please refund me the hundreds of dollars I spent buying your and your daddy's crappy books? Oh wait, I already threw them away. FU ML.

She’s the only one nationally televised—so that the resisdunces had to watch and listen too—who went down the cross-examination list to point out (most) every instance of fraud and deception.

She is a hero simply for that, and also for the threats, slander and abuse she will take into this election cycle, and far beyond if she is lucky enough to win.

What has Mark Levin ever put on the line?

Collins is on Face the Nation right now and giving a very nice dissertation on the rationale for her vote.
She is a moderate and not a hero, but she has earned some respect by me.

Go away Mark. Grassly, McConnell, Graham, Collins and even Flake saved Kavanaugh.

My biggest problem with Levin is that he can be rude or “short” even with good callers to his show. His “mansplaining” (not just to women) gets tiresome. He really can be a jackass.
