Kavanaugh vote: What time, what channel, how to watch Saturday’s confirmation vote
who ^ | 10/6/2018 | Debbie Lord

What’s going on now: Senators – mostly Democrats, who have said they plan to use the 30 hours of debate granted by the cloture motion – have been delivering speeches to a nearly empty chamber since midday Friday. The speeches will likely continue through Saturday, up until the call for the vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination.

What time: The vote will come at the end of the 30-hour period that began on Friday at 10:52 a.m. EDT. The vote is expected to be taken sometime between 4:45 p.m. and 5 p.m. EDT.

What channel: Cable news networks and network channels will be broadcasting the Senate vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination. You can also watch the vote on C-SPAN 2.

Livestream: You can watch the Senate livestream by clicking here.

What has to happen for Kavanaugh to be confirmed: If no senator changes his or her cloture vote, then Kavanaugh will be confirmed by a vote of 51-49.

Sen. Steve Daines, R-Montana, will be attending his daughter’s wedding on Saturday in Montana, so, unless his vote is needed for the nomination to pass, he may not return to Washington to vote.

If no senator changes his or her cloture vote and Daines does not return to vote, the vote would likely be 50-49.

My post above...a little levity. Nothing more. Know this is so very serious, and I won’t be satisfied and relieved until the final vote is in and he is confirmed.

Any one arrested for rioting/looting/arson, etc. should lose their EBT Card for life. Also fine, arrest, prosecute.”. And then deport to the communist country of their choice, see we really do caaaaare. They can choose their idyllic exile in the utopian paradise of N. Korea, Venezuela, or Cuba! See we help them achieve their dreams.

CSPAN is owned by the usual suspects in the MSM. It used to be admitted on their wiki page, but now it’s now obscured. C-SPAN is controlled by Big Media.

She probably doesn’t even know what “protest” means.

Sure she does! She thinks it’s people who are in favor of tests. :-)

The "trade off" used to be done a lot. Called a "live pair" One senator (or rep)says "X is unavoidably absent. If S/he were here, s/he would vote yes. I would vote no(or vice-versa), I therefore withdraw my vote" Or some such.

A "dead pair", especially in the house, if simply where two people on opposite sides agree that they will each be away so it evens out. It used to be that each side would have a "pair manager" to facilitate that and the votes would be announced, but wouldn't count.

Murkowski is a coward unable to stand on her own two feet.......she’s not ‘giving’ anything for Daines....the issue was already resolved before her statement. She simply looked for an ‘escape’.

Yep, already heard that from Paul Begala on CNN yesterday. The court will have four justices appointed by two Presidents who lost the “popular vote”, of which, there’s no such thing, but, I digress.

Why did Manchin vote with the rest of the Rats against limiting the debate to 30 hours?

Fact check, Post 24!

I’d be wary of Flake pulling a McCain on Trump if he thinks he can throw this into an uproar. There better be a plane waiting for Daines.

Flake, Manchin and Muck should not be trusted even slightly.... words have zero weight for these birds....it’s the vote period.

Daines and Pence need to be ready.
