In the run-up to the 2016 election, the Dems had a curious drumbeat of “war with Russia”.
No clue why they were so bellicose against Russia, probably cheesed off that the great communist utopia they thought it was had turned from communism.
I recall the satirical ads on hillary, “but mommy, I don’t want to go to war in Russia” “shut up son, Mommy wants the first female president!”
The “Russian bot” narrative seems to be a continuation of that weird push for war.
The Dems have to connect their opponents to what they perceive as the ultimate enemy.
