His fight for Brett Kavanaugh completed his transformation into Donald Trump’s slobbering manservant.
The battle over Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court was an especially ugly episode of a reality-show presidency that degrades almost everyone swept up in it, and many characters stagger away from it looking worse than ever.
That’s Senator Lindsey Graham you see at the head of the pack. That’s Graham you hear talking and talking and talking some more, in committee rooms and on stages and before the television cameras that he rushes to the way a toddler chases soap bubbles. His words are whichever ones guarantee a major role and a powerful patron, which means that these days he sounds like a more articulate echo of his golfing buddy: Donald Trump.
That wouldn’t, by itself, be cause to dwell on him. Washington is lousy with lackeys, and not even the maddest of kings thins their ranks.
But Graham is special. He really is. I can’t think of another Republican whose journey from anti-Trump outrage to pro-Trump obsequiousness was quite so illogical or half as sad, and his conduct during the war over Kavanaugh completed it. For the president he fought overtime, he fought nasty and he fought without nuance.

Liberals have turned hatred into an art form.
Trump’s persistent winning is like a gut punch to them. It drives them mad, which manifests itself in the form of visceral hatred.
The thing with liberals is, they see themselves as morally and intellectually superior to the common man. Losing is a severe blow to their monumental egos and inflated sense of self righteousness.
While amusing to watch, this makes them increasingly dangerous as there is no coexisting with these people. They’re never going to compromise or engage in constructive debate.
If they can’t win, they will take it all down.
Could it be that Graham has finally figured out which is the winning side?
The only thing sad is Graham played for the demwits so many years.
He started transforming well before McCain died. It was earlier in the year when it was clear that Russian collusion was a hoax.

Lindsay told the demorats the 100% truth and in no uncertain terms. Being hit right between the eyes, the “rats” have/had NOTHING to deflect the truth. I never cared much for Graham but he elevated himself quite nicely with his arrow into the heart of the demorats. Well done Lindsay Graham.
I wonder how Graham will handle being Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee in the future after how he conducted himself in the Kavanaugh hearings. Get out the popcorn.

Someone should teach these fools exactly what you said. Once the elections are over it’s time to get with the program. If that means getting up on the balls of their feet to pivot and adjust their stance; so be it.
The NYT is a demonstration that colleges are failing. .............................. English majors should maybe find tech writing jobs instead. This isn’t news, its opinion. Did you ever expect favorable opinion? The NYT is just feeding their dedicated followers who love to read the anti Trump or anti Republican stuff. The excuses for all their hatred of Trump just don’t hold water, what is better than a thriving economy without a global war? (Ahhh, yes, free abortions and a row of multi labeled Porta-Potties, or anything that deals with abnormal behavior of the human species and nature?)
That is indeed their mindset. With every big loss they get more violent and more mob-obsessed. Mobs lose all sense of rational thought although it's not like the left ever has many of those on an individual basis.
