This is one of those “stealth” races prime for an upset. The media ignore the race, and that can work to the challengers advantage. It is possible for a well structured insurgent campaign by Republican candidate Bob Flanders to use the Kavanaugh momentum and unseat Democrat incumbent senator Sheldon Whitehouse.

Whitehouse is an imbedded socially elitist with long family ties to RI somewhere in the Kennedy to Mass. vein. However there is a mind in RI that is not as radical as this guy seems to be on a national scale as he aligns himself with the far left.
Flanders is a normal guy and has punches shot if he can land the right shot. That shot is the Kavanaugh hook. I think voters will really see what a sham that was and Whitehouse was part of that spectacle on the losing team.
RI is considered SO SAFE there is hardly a poll.
