After a blistering confirmation battle, Justice Brett Kavanaugh will take his seat for oral arguments on the U.S. Supreme Court with a skeptical public, a majority of which opposed his nomination. However, Democrats may not be able to exploit this fact in the upcoming elections as much as they hope, because the independent voters overwhelmingly disapprove of their own handling of the nomination by a 28-point margin, a new CNN/SSRS poll finds.
Overall, just 41 percent of those polled said they wanted to see Kavanaugh confirmed, compared to 51 percent who said they opposed his confirmation. In previous CNN polls dating back to Robert Bork in 1987, no nominee has been more deeply underwater.
What's interesting, however, is even though Democrats on the surface would seem to have public opinion on their side, just 36 percent approved of how they handled the nomination, compared to 56 percent who disapproved. (Republicans were at 55 percent disapproval and 35 percent approval). A further breakdown finds that 58 percent of independents disapproved of the way the Democrats handled the nomination compared to 30 percent who approved. (Independents also disapproved of Republicans handling of the matter, but by a narrower 53 percent to 32 percent margin).

All things considered, the Rats are in trouble.
They need to vote against demo_rats in November.

WHOOPS!
How can that be? CNN is saying women are going to pay men back for not blindly believing Ford.
Wait! I thought everyone supported not confirming Kavanaugh?
Oh I guess those polls were bs.
Rasmussen has a majority approving of Kav confirmation. I would tend to believe that as it agrees with public reaction polls we have seen.
Exactly. 2-1 which I expected and they think they are taking back the house??
Please
35% of republicans approve of how the dems handled the nomination? I don’t think so, this pole is BS.
pole = poll
ANOTHER B.S. POLL.
CNN poll.

sure cnn, sure.
In a CNN poll. Imagine what the real margin is.
Of course, we can feel and see the reaction to what the dems did with this nomination.
We sensed that. :^)
The Democrats demonstrated, in public, that they are completely corrupt and will do whatever they need to do win their agenda without any regard to the Constitution, the law, our Western Civilization culture that enjoys many principle that have been passed down from the Roman Republic. The Democrats have rejected all of this and are in everything except in name, Communists. Remember, the Communists and their fellow travelers are responsible for the death of more than 100 million human beings. The Democrats, given the chance, are willing to go for the record.
35% of republicans approve of how the dems handled the nomination? I dont think so, this pole is BS.
Beat me to it. Seems very few read these articles. Also the undecided in polling is another trick to keep democrats ahead or even and of course plain old over-sampling.
Lost my daughter tonight. As soon as Trump came to the mic to announce Kavanaugh, my daughter put the TV on pause and wanted to have a discussion about this. I was as fair as possible with her, even going so far as saying I believed Ford, but I didn’t believe it was Kavanaugh.
Her final words before she packed up and left was, “I am disappointed in you.
Everything I thought about the left, my daughter confirmed with this one conversation. Apparently I invalidated her accusation of Kavanaugh and the too much for her to bare.
