I visited my son and his wife several times when they lived in Port. St. John, and I noticed all the newer houses were built WAY better than the older ones. I guess they’ve learned some stuff about hurricanes. LOL!

Peaches is out. Now maybe I can get some sleep.....poor ol’ guy!

Yep, they seem to have figured out how to build houses that will withstand the storms better. Dad’s and Judi’s house was built in ‘97 or ‘98 and seems very solid. It will survive just fine. It’s power going out and the generator not being able to operate for some reason that’s my main concern. That and her being alone with no one to help her out. She really needs someone there 24/7.
