Robert Redford may be done acting, but he’s not riding off into the sunset anytime soon. The actor, filmmaker, and Sundance Film Festival founder published “A Brief Statement About Big Things” on the Sundance Institute’s website yesterday, writing that he feels “out of place in the country I was born into” for the first time he can remember and that he has “watched with sadness as our civil servants have failed us.”
The overtly political speech was published the same day that Brett Kavanaugh’s ascension to the Supreme Court following a nasty confirmation process that once again emphasized how bitterly divided the country has become. Neither Kavanaugh nor anyone else is mentioned by name, but Redford citing “bigotry, mean-spiritedness, and mockery as the now-normal tools of the trade” suggests his anger probably isn’t directed at Amy Klobuchar.

2. You’re old, Bob. So am I. It’s part of growing old in a rapidly changing world.
Actually, a third thing: When you are rich and famous and everybody pays attention to you, when you get just plain too old to really do anything, your world changes DRASTICALLY.
He and his fellow liberals mock, insult, demean, and ridicule Americans every day, but he thinks they are civil.

That is a great statement we all can appreciate. However, the fact that he is uncomfortable is a good sign we are succeeding in restoring America.
Hey Robert - the thugs on the left - young and old - are bought and paid for by liberal elites who are too old to express their hatred directly. So they buy young kids and pretend it's 1968. Get Real Redford. Take away the organizers, money, and buses that transport the ‘protesters’ and they'd be ten people on the S.C. steps.

watching 2 weeks of lib support for a witchhunt/kangaroo court with no evidence and a demand that the accused go first in absence of charge or testimony told me all I need to know.
The Left doesn’t care about lynching, witchhunts, the Crucible, or the rule of law and presumption of innocence until proven guilty. Bill Clinton and others did worse with more evidence and were given a pass.
This was a naked power grab and they would do the same to take down any American in the public or private sector.
