I’m inclined to think that most of those registrations are due to the effects of the Kavanaugh confirmation.

So the voters registering are all anti-Marsha?

Not good if so.

Blackburn has pulled significantly ahead in the polls. very coincidental that the statists twisted Taylor Swift’s arm for an endorsement of Phil Bredesen.

Maybe they tighten the race up, but the conservative vote should overwhelm liberal Nashville metro and Memphis.

““We are up to 65,000 registrations in a single 24-hour period since T. Swift’s post,”

so 0.5% of her followers all signed up in one day?

Or could it be because facebook, soundcloud, and numerous websites are all reminding low information voters to get registered and the time to register in most states is drawing to a close???

>> an unprecedented flood of new voter registrations since Taylor Swift on Sunday

this weekend is also when Republican saw the confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice in the wake of 2 weeks of rule breaking delay from a scorched Earth Democrat witchhunt.

Could be some Republican voters pumped to go to the polls.

Anyone who takes their voting cues from a film or music celebrity is too stupid to have the privilege of voting.

Registration is worthless if the millennials don’t emerge from the basement, take an UBER to Starbucks, the on to the voting site and vote. An if the voting site isn’t serving craft beer, then lots of luck.

I am pretty sure that today is the last day to register to vote for 11/6 in about 17 states which TN is one of.

My young leftists neighbors think that revolting and organizing today is just like the American Revolution and justify it as such.

I would be willing to attend a Taylor Swift concert...provided that someone can raise the money to pay for my ticket and travel expense, furnish me a blindfold and ear protection and raise one million dollars to be donated to the Salvation Army in my name. It would still be painful but I am willing to make the sacrifice. For a two million dollar donation I would be willing to give up the blindfold but not the ear protection.

“We are up to 65,000 registrations in a single 24-hour period since T. Swift's post… 5,183 voter registrations in Tennessee so far this month, least 2,144 of those voter registrations are from the past two days alone. That compares to 2,811 voter registrations from the state in September.”

Kaleidoscope math. Goofy meaningless article designed to trick high school girls.

Taylor Swift will have a negligible effect on the midterm elections. There's nothing brave or inspiring about another celebrity coming out for Democrats, particularly when they parrot the same worn-out cliches about standing up for LGBT rights and against racism. Yawn...

That's what makes this so disappointing. Swift churned out a tepid endorsement on Instagram, pissed off millions of her fans (who like me understood that she was probably a liberal but appreciated that she was staying above the fray), she turned off her comments section, and quietly slunk away.

When you can't even watch a football game without being subjected to politics (and only one side of it, naturally) Taylor Swift was one of the last "politics-free" institutions in America that both sides could enjoy and escape from all the rancor and discourse.

Not any more. Sad.

I don’t think the entertainment industry allows anyone to succeed unless they align politically, so this shouldn’t surprise anyone.
