President Trumps ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki R. Haley, has resigned, leaving the White House with one less moderate Republican voice on his cabinets foreign policy team.
Ms. Haley, a former governor of South Carolina, had been an early and frequent critic of Mr. Trump, so when he named her the envoy to the world body weeks after his election in November 2016, the appointment was seen as an olive branch.
The daughter of immigrants from India, Ms. Haley favored free markets and global trade and earned international attention for speaking out against the Confederate battle flag in the aftermath of the 2015 massacre at a black church in Charleston.

Since she’s already been through a confirmation process, I wonder if there’s another position that will be opening up that she can be placed into directly?

"Despite her personal views, she articulated the Trump policy very well. I dont know who will step into the role next, but I liked the way she handled it." Nikki is a globalist free trader at heart. I too was shocked at her strong defense of America in the UN.
Why? Legal problems (graft)? Policy differences with Trunp (Kavanaugh?) Better offer($$$)?
Only two people know.

wouldn’t it be a great idea to hear the details before we started throwing her under the bus? especially in view of DJT’s tweet a short time ago?

Interesting thoughts, there will be confirmation hearings before the November election.

That person seemed most concerned with trade and foreign policy, and this comes shortly after Trump met with Rosenberg about who might push for a coup....

She’s never seemed like a good fit to me and I think she is very much for high immigration and high refugee and asylum admissions.

Is there a problem with folks that can see beyond their county line and promote American international trade?

Maybe they'll wise up and move straight to a floor vote for whomever President Trump nominates.

Yes, I agree. We assume it was for political reasons but perhaps its for personal reasons.

Not a chance. There’s no rush to fill such a job. And it’s a nice gift and payback to some Congressman who loses.

I’m thinking she is leaving in hopes she can avoid an ethics investigation into 7 flight her and her husband took on private jets at no costs and salvage any future political ambitions.
