Nikki Haley Resigned as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations

President Trump‘s ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki R. Haley, has resigned, leaving the White House with one less moderate Republican voice on his cabinet’s foreign policy team.

Ms. Haley, a former governor of South Carolina, had been an early and frequent critic of Mr. Trump, so when he named her the envoy to the world body weeks after his election in November 2016, the appointment was seen as an olive branch.

The daughter of immigrants from India, Ms. Haley favored free markets and global trade and earned international attention for speaking out against the Confederate battle flag in the aftermath of the 2015 massacre at a black church in Charleston.

She was doing an absolutely stellar job at the U.N. in my opinion. Sorry to see her go.

She’s never seemed like a good fit to me and I think she is very much for high immigration and high refugee and asylum admissions.

Bingo.

Trump just tweeted big announcement at 10:30am for my friend Nikki Haley.

Could he be promoting her? I can see that. She's done a good job as UN Ambassador.

She said six months ago she wanted out and always had plans to leave by the end of the year.

Job burnout.

The way to answer that which wouldn’t betray hostility would be:

“Gov. Palin came out and helped bring attention to my campaign. In doing so, she was seeking what she felt was best for the country, not trying to establish any indebtedness. So I don’t owe her anything except an acknowledgment of what she has done for the state of South Carolina, but I am very grateful to her, personally.

Trump is setting the stage.

Sessions is OUT!

Graham takes his place.

Haley fills the senate seat vacated by Graham.

Anywho, that’s my guess...

I liked Ambassador Haley. She, SOS Pompeo, and Gen. Mattis are the stars of the Cabinet.

I think she’s getting lined up for the Senate race in 2020 in South Carolina...that Senator Graham might call it quits at that point. Other possibility is that she’s the Trump choice for VP in 2020.

Resignation is effective at the end of this year, per CNN. My guess is Sessions will be fired, Lindsey Graham gets AG job, and Haley is appointed to replace Graham early next year.

“When she was asked if she owed anything to Sarah Palin, she flat out said: “no, I don’t owe her anything.”

Drunks are nasty like that.

Graham may decide to not run for reelection in 2020.

That would be swapping one Amnesty Senator for another Amnesty Senator,

We MUST have more than 4-5 Senators that side with the citizens and the rule of law.

Every year in the Trump administration must be like dog years. One year equals 7 years worth of work. It must be hard to keep up. She has a family she probably hasn’t seen much of for 2 years.
