when Haley was running for governor, she was in last place in the primary, with no name recognition and no big-name endorsements. Sarah Palin endorsed her and came all the way to SC to campaign for her. The next poll after Palin’s rally, Haley had jumped to 1st place. When she was asked if she owed anything to Sarah Palin, she flat out said: “no, I don’t owe her anything.”

Haley has always been an ungrateful person. I don’t regret seeing her go, but I did regret that Trump gave her the time of day.

The way to answer that which wouldn’t betray hostility would be:

“Gov. Palin came out and helped bring attention to my campaign. In doing so, she was seeking what she felt was best for the country, not trying to establish any indebtedness. So I don’t owe her anything except an acknowledgment of what she has done for the state of South Carolina, but I am very grateful to her, personally.
