However, the media (local in this case) will take their poll and try and influence independents and (D)'s that voted for Trump to try and help push Collins out.

She may not be our favorite conservative, but -1(R), +1(D) would be devastating for the Senate, all judicials nominations, MAGA and so forth.

If their "poll" shows support for Collins, their wish to do damage to her is a little more difficult.
