That is how I see it.
Trump can lead him by the ring in his nose. Trump probably has sworn 302s from multiple people in that room that swear to it and he’s just letting Rod dangle.
If Trump had him by the shorthairs, and now he’s on the team, why are the fisa etc. docs still not declassified?
