M-M-Mel Tillis was born in Tampa, Florida and grew up in Pahokee, Florida.

His stuttering was the result of malaria when he was a kid.

so what were you saying about Tennessee ?

“Great legs. No brains.’

Not really (IMHO). She has a beautiful face. She is tall and skinny. She looks great in dresses. But if you watch her videos (especially “Shake It”), she is not athletic at all. So she has an OK body/legs. Now if you like skinny and soft, she is your gal. Just my opinion.

Hopefully Blackburn wins by a huge margin.

I would like to see Taylor Swift lose and it pains me to say this because I am a fan.

It's disappointing. Taylor Swift was one of the last remaining non-political institutions in America. You can't even watch a football game anymore because it has gotten so political but everyone could enjoy Taylor Swift. Sure, in our hearts we all knew she was probably a lib but we didn't care because when repeatedly pressed about her political leanings, she kept her mouth shut and refused to buckle. I respected that.

Now she had to go and offer a tepid endorsement, unoriginal and weak, parroting the tired talking points of "LGBT rights" and "I'm against racism" as if the rest of us are a bunch of hate-filled scumbags.

Oh well... I don't dislike Taylor Swift. But like President Trump said, I like her 25% less.

And for what?

I love ‘em all. Fat, short, skinny, tall.

The problem with music celebrities or any other celebrity is that they think their stardom is significant and transcends their one accomplishment. Their importance is in their own eyes and the fools that believe them, witness the alar scare with the self infatuated Meryl Streep. They know nothing about anything, especially the cause they purport to testify for. Nonsense.

“She makes her stupid pronouncement, and Bredesen’s numbers take a dramatic fall, almost instantly. Great move Taylor!”

I don’t think her comments had any effect on the electorate in Tennessee. The people here aren’t that stupid

“Forgot to mention that therewere several very articulate hispanic and black voters as well, so much for the media’s only white power myth.”

Tillis started in Nashville and had more success as a songwriter than a singer, but i;m sure you knew that. lol

Can you name the biggest hit he wrote and who performed it ?

Blackburn should have said she’s been doing real world stuff in all its complexities since Taylor was drinking formula from a bottle.

The central fly over country needs to stay focused on the election. They are definetly awake now and need to stay that way. We can’t count on either the northeast or the west coast. Thank god for the people between them. If DJT can keep up the rally schedule, we may show the left a Red Wave. Then maybe the third and fourth SCOTUS picks.

Nope but Good Woman Blues was my favorite, the Telegraph Agent in the movie “The Villian” was my favorite movie role and him performing live on stage was a hoot. That was all when Country Music was still pretty good. I’m old now and it’s all bluegrass for me. We gotta get these candidates in the places like Tennessee and Florida, Missouri, and the red states. We’re screwed if the Dems get the house.

Tillis most successful hit was “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town”,

recorded by Kenny Rogers. That song was covered by many other singers.

“Coca Cola Cowboy” was another fan favorite song he wrote.

what a talent Mel was !

Yup. They have an inflated sense of self importance.
