Taylor may need to pay someone else to write her ‘Righteous Anger Talking Points’ next time. Better yet, stay in your lane, Taylor.

Taylor Swift is so brave.

It takes so much courage today for a celebrity to endorse Democrats to show their support for LGBT rights and that they are against racism.

You are so inspiring.

Hopefully Blackburn wins by a huge margin.

I would like to see Taylor Swift lose and it pains me to say this because I am a fan.

It's disappointing. Taylor Swift was one of the last remaining non-political institutions in America. You can't even watch a football game anymore because it has gotten so political but everyone could enjoy Taylor Swift. Sure, in our hearts we all knew she was probably a lib but we didn't care because when repeatedly pressed about her political leanings, she kept her mouth shut and refused to buckle. I respected that.

Now she had to go and offer a tepid endorsement, unoriginal and weak, parroting the tired talking points of "LGBT rights" and "I'm against racism" as if the rest of us are a bunch of hate-filled scumbags.

Oh well... I don't dislike Taylor Swift. But like President Trump said, I like her 25% less.

And for what?

The problem with music celebrities or any other celebrity is that they think their stardom is significant and transcends their one accomplishment. Their importance is in their own eyes and the fools that believe them, witness the alar scare with the self infatuated Meryl Streep. They know nothing about anything, especially the cause they purport to testify for. Nonsense.

Blackburn should have said she’s been doing real world stuff in all its complexities since Taylor was drinking formula from a bottle.

Taylor Swift Flat Out Lied About Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn

Taylor Swift decided to break radio silence and enter the political arena on Sunday night. but for her first endorsement, it didn't go down too well.

Not only did she receive backlash for her endorsement, but Taylor also has been called out by many for straight up lying about Republican candidate Marsha Blackburn.

Taylor Swift said in an Instagram post that she just could not vote for Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), citing mostly LGBT issues.

In the attack on Marsha Blackburn, Taylor badly misrepresented Blackburn's positions and made out as if the Republican candidate for Senate is a bigot and a "hater."

"I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love," Swift wrote. The singer added that Blackburn's "voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me."

The problem is that Taylor Swift used a bunch of talking points published by the LGBT activist group GLAAD.

"She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples," Swift declared.

Each of these claims massively misrepresented Marsha Blackburn's positions.

Taylor Swift grew up in Pennsylvania and her family moved to Tennessee to further her career in Nashville when she was a teenager. I followed her career in the country music magazines in those early years and her family was not dirt poor rural Pennsylvania, they had the money to focus the whole family’s future on pushing the teenager’s career. Taylor is not a native Tennessee woman, she is a transplant to Tennessee. She is a rich Nashville Tennessean music person, not your average Tennessee voter.

The congresswoman continued: "We're getting ready the Music Modernization Act that I helped steer through Congress. It's going to be signed on Thursday by the president. I've been very active in that and Taylor Swift will benefit by that." The wide-ranging bill would affect payments to songwriters, copyright performance rights and royalties, among other things.

WINNING!

The fact Taylor Swift decided to go political is a disappointment. Her staying above that fray was admirable. Too bad she too has fallen into the abyss.
