I’ve always wondered what Jesus would think about capitalism.
He did say that thing about giving to Caesar what is Caesar’s.
So he must have understood that we have to live in this world too.
I guess making a profit as long as you helped others also would be ok in his book.
but i dont know :)

The term “capitalism” was invented by Marx as a way of damning the ordinary system of markets by presupposing that it had to be obsessed with materialism (and then by setting up a class war as the cure that is worse than the illness). The good Lord would surely tell us that markets are just fine (I sometimes wonder if Cain and Abel could have come to peace by trading in what they needed, rather than fighting), but never to let wealth be made into your god.
