Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) asked Director Wray if President Trump’s conversations are getting collected in the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) database and he would not answer.

“We know bad actors exist within intel community,” Senator Paul said. “REFORM NEEDED NOW” the Kentucky Senator added.

RAND PAUL: The FBI Director just testified in the US Senate. I asked him if @realDonaldTrump phone conversations are getting collected in the FISA database. He wouldn’t answer. Is NSA or FBI listening in on our President? We know bad actors exist within intel community. REFORM NEEDED NOW'

“Do you think that it is possible that the President’s conversations with international leaders are in the FISA database?” Senator Paul asked Director Wray.

“I’m not sure there is anything I can speak to,” Wray responded.

EVERY communication is being recorded into that database, some officially, some not officially.

Hoover spied on every president, whether he agreed with them or not. All FBI directors probably have. But somehow, I don’t think he used his findings to undermine our democracy and constitution, in quite the same way. If we knew in full, the evil machinations of the deep state, we would probably be shocked and appalled, right down to our socks. The most refreshing thing to know, is that President Trump doesn’t cooperate with them. I think THEY are appalled that he doesn’t, and it has caused them to slip up and expose themselves.

******************************

Because the FISA approval allows 2 degrees of separation, the entire Trump campaign and organization was monitored, which would include emails, text messages, and voice conversations over phones. Anyone Carter Page contacted, and anyone that all of those contacted could be eavesdropped upon. And they could go back into the past and review all the stuff collected by the NSA once they received the FISA approval.

The thing about the FISA spying that I don’t see discussed:

There has been NOTHING damaging about Trump and his campaign leaked or reported despite all that snooping. The Michael Flynn conversation with the Russian ambassador and some stuff about President Trump’s phone conversation with the Aussie head of state are about all that has ever been leaked out.

Nada, zilch, bupkis. Despite a full year of surveillance, with FISA approval to go back into the past, they found nothing. And you know they would have leaked it or used it to file charges or set up more perjury traps if they had come up with anything from all that snooping.

I went back to graduate school in my 40s for MA US History. I was older than all the students and professors, except for one prof.
They were all super bright, but they had no common sense or larger perspective.
I had to remind them every week that “the devil is wise not because he is smart but because he is old.”
It was all quite fun.
