California’s policymakers have condemned Californians to endure contrived scarcity, unaffordability, and inconvenience in all of the basic necessities of life.

This is a crime, but it’s not a conspiracy. Rather, it is caused by a collection of powerful special interests whose political agendas align.

Here's a thorough analysis of California's power structure. It explains who drives the state's policies, how they benefit, how the middle class suffers, how they drive public opinion, and why this model is a threat to the rest of the country.

It’s a great analysis, but it suffers from the usual delusion of thinking that the non-whites are ever going to share white economic politics.

Maybe a bit more with Asians, but all the others are never going there. And it really won’t matter, because Mexican children outnumber whites in K-12 schools right now by about 2:1, which means they will be the voting majority in about a decade.

It’s really over in California for the Americans. What happens in the not too distant future is going to be fought out in the streets, not the ballot box.
