What am I missing here? If a legal immigrant is convicted of a felony, I don’t see what’s at issue. Such individuals deserve the same treatment as native-born citizens who commit a felony. That being the case, there is even less room for debate when it comes to an illegal felon.

Perhaps this gets into statute of limitations, in which case the ruling could not apply uniformly to all cases. Any lawyers, feel free to explain. Thanks

I’m guessing these legal immigrants are not citizens. They are simply here legally.
