President Donald Trump wasted no time celebrating the Supreme Court confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh. But with Kavanaugh on the bench, some of the stories that were momentarily buried during the confirmation chaos are bubbling back to the surface.
The New York Times’ bombshell report exposing what appears to be massive fraud perpetrated by the Trump family is one of these stories. According to the Times, Trump’s father Fred spearheaded a complicated con using “dubious tax schemes” and “instances of outright fraud” to evade hundreds-of-millions of dollars in tax payments to the IRS.
Cheating on your taxes may not seem sexy, but this scandal may very well represent Trump’s greatest vulnerability should Democrats retake control of Congress in November.
Of course, a sitting president has never had his tax returns subpoenaed by a committee. But that doesn't mean that the new chairs of the House Oversight Committee or the House Financial Services Committee won't try if Democrats take over. In other words, we may be just one Congressional subpoena to the IRS away from finally finding out the truth about this self-proclaimed “self-made billionaire.”

If there was any possible way to sue this estate tax stuff, Mueller would be using it to build a case, not leaking it to the media to try to influence the midterm elections.

“to evade...” Evading taxes is a crime. Avoiding taxes is perfectly legal. Has anyone been charged with a crime?

They are going to impeach Trump no matter what (assuming its a blue wave and not a big beautiful red wave...)
So they demand his tax returns. And he refuses. What then? They impeach him? They are going to impeach him anyway. For any reason, for no reason, they’ll do it just to fill the 24 hour news cycle with endless hysteria for the next two years.
They won’t have the votes to remove him no matter what. So they can demand all they want. We just have to stand firm ourselves and ride it out.
Time to investigate Obama’s wealth, along with Maxine, DIFI and all the rest of them. I’d be willing to bet there’s some illegal activity involved.
