I always make a point to smile and thank a man for opening a door for me or anything else that used to be considered a nice gesture toward women. Many parents spent a lot of time teaching their boys how to be courteous to women. I enjoy it but I can see why men would stop doing those kinds of things given the rude response from the man haters.

You could even tell the fellow “Thank you honey.” Without meaning he’s your steady. (Same for courtesies of men towards women.)

The silly sexualization of all love has made people afraid to show gestures of courtesy, and that is one of the biggest shames of all.
