It must be highlighted that these insane mobs of uneducated Liberal agitators were programmed in our schools by design starting back in the 1980’s or earlier. LBJ and the NEA infused Liberal propaganda into the public schools; reading, writing, and arithmetic were secondary to Liberal feel-good BS.

In 1980, I helped with the report, “A Nation At Risk,” issued by one of President Reagan’s subcommittees formed in the Department of Education.

April 1983 - “A Nation At Risk”

“All, regardless of race or class or economic status, are entitled to a fair chance and to the tools for developing their individual powers of mind and spirit to the utmost. This promise means that all children by virtue of their own efforts, competently guided, can hope to attain the mature and informed judgement needed to secure gainful employment, and to manage their own lives, thereby serving not only their own interests but also the progress of society itself...”

“...If an unfriendly foreign power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre educational performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war. As it stands, we have allowed this to happen to ourselves. We have even squandered the gains in student achievement made in the wake of the Sputnik challenge. Moreover, we have dismantled essential support systems which helped make those gains possible. We have, in effect, been committing an act of unthinking, unilateral educational disarmament...”

Scariest thing of all...the first part of th above paragraph reads like something out of “Atlas Shrugged” (mistake to be rereading now, but...)as a looter’s whine. Funny, the entitlement that the loons complain about is ensconced in their own flawed rhetoric.

On the money re schools before the 80s. Read “Freedom’s Forge” by Arthur Herman, and at the end, after the war, note the government view as to how everything was to be represented in public schools (indoctrination centers).

Thanks to decades of indoctrination, the populace at large (not here)is less offended by socialism than ever.

I have said for years that we must remove and dissolve Teachers Unions from our taxpayer funded schools. Also, the Federal Department of Education must be dissolved. Local control of our education system must be restored.

Given the ubiquitous lack of logic and civics on the left it is only proper to blame decades of public schools and our own laziness in accommodating them. Even some on the right demonstrate gross abuse of the same.
