I got into a discussion with a woman supposedly a biologist of some kind — sea mammals I think -— global warming person -—and I asked her about rising seas, as to why shorelines haven’t changed, islands have not been inundated, and she said some had, that the sea was higher in some places than in others. I said ‘that’s not possible’. We had to stop discussing it. It was at a barbecue.

Not to help her, but to improve your debate points... The Panama Canal has to lift and lower ships about 30 ft, due to the difference in height in those two oceans.

“...she said some had, that the sea was higher in some places than in others”.

Sure it is. They say the sea level has risen in Miami so it must be true. It’s just that areas north and south have not caught up yet. But they will. I know they will because they say they will. They are smart people. Way smarter than we are. Just ask em. They will sure tell you they are way smarter than us. Never question their smartness especially those that have a Phd. Never ever doubt they are the smartest people on the planet.

Now go read “Atlas Shrugged”.
