I read not long ago that the Luftwaffe (yes, they still call it that), the pioneers of close in air support, had around a dozen operational ground attack aircraft. The Bundeswehr, whose predecessor pioneered armored warfare, had fewer than 100 working tanks. And the Deutsche Marine, whose predecessor pioneered submarine warfare, had no working U-boats.

I’ve also read that the British army has more generals than tanks.
But I suppose that could be considered a plus. Because should another war break out, every British tank could be commanded not be a sergeant or a lieutenant, but by an experienced general.
They have to get military forces in place for the Molotov-Ribbentrop Agreement V2 so that Poland can be partitioned again.
The only force to possibly have their asses handed to them quicker than the Iraqis.
