Oh, yeah, that. A mere detail. A closer reading reveals this gem:

This is, in essence, a plan to create a plan that they don't have yet to use an army that they don't have yet either. All this while Germany will not even allocate 1.2% of its GNP to defense. I'm thinking it will be a while before they're rolling through the Fulda gap to besiege Moscow. Again.
Damn shame. When I was in the Cold War Army the German tankers were every bit the equal of us Americans and the Brits. My how times have changed. I guess Frau Merkel doesn’t need an army because she wouldn’t dare fight the Russians - they would turn off her gas.

Except to the families and friends of the Euroweenies who are being raped, and stabbed, and shot, and run over on a fairly regular basis. I suspect they are finding the present situation in Europe to be very “unfunny”.
The only bad part is that it ruins all those Polish jokes. Maybe we can change them into EU jokes.
Europe has refused to fund NATO sufficiently. Thus it is the United States Military that guarantees their freedom. They will also to refuse to fund their own armies sufficiently to be a potent force.
Without the United States Military they are just a paper tiger.
France and England have nuclear weapons. If Russian started to roll over a European Army sans the US Army, nukes would start flying. The real danger from Russia is a slow undermining and assimilation of Baltic States and other nations on their border that were once part of the Warsaw Pact.
