What you cannot do (a short list):
live in any century other that the 7th;
use/own anything not mentioned in the koran;
you cannot leave Islam for any reason.

Punishment for above abuses is either a slow or a quick death.

must use you left hand to wipe;
must beat your wife(s) at least once a day;
must pray 5 times a day, facing Mecca;
must pay tax to the mosque so Islam can support jihadi fighters worldwide;

Punishment for above abuses are fines/beatings/whipping. If you are lucky you will just get the fine, else with more luck you may survive the other punishments.
