I keep hoping against hope that he’s not really this wacko and that he’s just training for a movie where he will play a looney lefty nutcase. I have many good memories of DeNiro as an actor and its hard to think he’s this far removed from reality now.
I watched a Youtube video today. It was an interview by Larry King with the wife of Rock Hudson, Phyllis Gates. She was asked to marry him very early in his career, very quickly. She did love him. She did not know he was gay. She felt he was not cheating on her at first. But during the interview she did make the statement regarding what was evidently said about him, that he was very immature. She said he was, and then said he wanted to play games, board games all the time, you know like Clue, Scrabble.
I think that is the thing with Hollywood movie stars. Not all of them but many of them are very immature people, people with psychological problems and this is reflected in their scope of politics. I think when people get to know this type of person they realize it. It’s the money and the power that enable them to be at all taken seriously for their ridiculous ideas in politics.
