Vox Calls for Abolishing Supreme Court
Political Insider ^ | October 12, 2018 | Matt

Much like a seven year old trying to change the rules of a game they’re losing – Democrats have now decided that any institution that doesn’t serve their purpose must destroyed. After the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh, the popular liberal publication Vox has now called for the abolition of the Supreme Court entirely.

“…the Court is now a blunt political instrument, used repeatedly to undermine outcomes of democratic governance” the Vox article complains. While I can’t prove it, I imagine there’s a 0% chance Vox would be making the same complaint with a liberal court. The article continues, “…it’s perfectly reasonable to ask if we should abolish the Supreme Court, or at the very least strip the Court of its ability to overturn laws that it rules unconstitutional. If the Court is no longer a neutral arbiter of the law, if it’s gradually shape-shifting into a partisan weapon, then maybe it’s time to rethink its role in our constitutional system.”

Plenty of liberals have echoed such calls to abolish the SCOTUS, none of which existed prior to the nomination and eventual confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Judicial activism was a fine thing when it was trending toward liberal insanity, but now that the door has been slammed shut and a return to normalcy is imminent, the whiners have changed their tune.

That is the money quote!!! Nore MAGA every single week - we must get out and vote to keep both chanbers of Congress.

Vox takes funding from the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), an organization which is a registered foreign agent and a propaganda front for China's Communist government. Vox's articles and motivations should be viewed with that information in mind.

Here's a WaPo op-ed detailing China's propaganda activities in the US and CUSEF's part in those activities.

Here's another article in Foreign Policy magazine about CUSEF's activities and the larger Chinese effort to influence policy and public opinion in the US.

The real story isn't Vox's lop-sided anti-American reporting (recent headline: "China is the biggest winner of the Trump-Kim summit") - it's the ongoing, large-scale effort by China to infiltrate and shape US media and policy centers.

Not a problem.

All you need to do is write a new Amendment, and that STILL probably wouldn't be enough.

Can you imagine the fit they’ll throw when he needs to fill 2 or three more seats? That’s what this is all about. They know it’s inevitable, and they’re not having it! They’ll lose the rest of whatever mind they have left. Damnable anarchists!

Dear VOX, far more people have died from falls than from the Supreme Court.

Urgent that you get the law of gravity repealed.

Them wanting to abolish it in a constitutional way is a mighty big leap. Somehow, I don’t think that’s exactly what they have in mind.

I'll say this: I've long said here and other places that the SCOTUS has seized dictatorial powers to modify the constitution based on the opinion of five people, and they are virtually impossible to overrule while simultaneously being the least accountable and least representative of our three branches of government. The left loved this when they had the edge. It's great that if the court is this way that it's not run by tyrant loving leftists but I'd like to see its wings clipped a bit.

Maybe this collective outrage the left has suddenly discovered in the SCOTUS having too much power can actually return some freedom back to the people by taking it back from the unelected guys in black robes.

There is talk of that now.

It’s in the main body of the Constitution. You would need a new Constitution.

And Salon is telling its readers to mob justices:

If you see them on the street, or in the post office, or in a restaurant, confront them. Tell them they don’t have your respect. Tell them they are illegitimate justices on an illegitimate court
