Neither the writers from Politico and the Wash Compost know that Lee and a lot of both future Confederate and Union officers learned how to fight intelligently during the Mexican American War of 1846-48 esp. at Chapultepec and Vera Cruz.
Let’s just say for shits and grins that most leftist writers and editors of both publications don’t know crap about American history and never will. The “truth” frightens them so much that they rely on the Marxist versions of history by Communist Party covert member Howard Zinn, sometimes Marxist, sometimes friends of fascists, Prof. Noam Chomsky, and perhaps Maoists H. Bruce Franklin and Grover Furr, among others).
I’ll bet $100 that they don’t even know the origins of the “ Spot Amendment”, who sponsored it, why and what it was based on.
Damned. I learned this in high school when we actually had real history books and our teachers told us to go out and “READ” on our own, and think for ourselves.
No wonder our so-called academics, reporters, talking headings and “experts” don’t know a damned thing and are determined that our children won’t either.
