Facebook BANS Doug Giles And ClashDaily.com – Here’s Doug’s Response
ClashDaily.com ^ | 13 October 2018 | Doub Giles

Posted on 10/13/2018 7:58:35 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

On October 11th Facebook sent my company a notification that, as of today, we don’t get to have a voice in their world any longer.

Here are the ‘reasons’ stated by Zuckerberg’s crew regarding why they pulled the plug on our Facebook pages (2M followers). Pages, by the way, that we spent a BIG chunk of change building over the last few years.

Your Page has been unpublished

Your Page has been unpublished for misleading behavior, such as being administered by a fake account, misleading users, or violating the Facebook spam policies. This goes against the Facebook Pages Terms and Facebook Community Standards which help keep our community safe and respectful. If you think we made a mistake, you can appeal and we’ll take another look.

Here’s my response to Team Facebook.

ClashDaily.com engages in Misleading Users? Yeah, right. ClashDaily.com doesn’t trade in subtleties and deceit. We are a hard-charging, patriotic mosh-pit, that loves freedom, family and our flag and don’t mind challenging them that don’t with truth mixed with an irreverent sense of humor. Our brand of no-bullshit news reporting and op-eds have garnered us 230M page views in the last few years. If you define ‘misleading users’ as making them free thinking people versus Koolaid drinking Antifa clowns, then I guess we could be guilty.

ClashDaily.com‘s pages are administered by a fake account? That’s a joke. Our admin peeps have to double verify to login. Facebook has our driver’s licenses. In addition, my ClashDaily.com Facebook page was ‘blue checked’ approved by Facebook as being from me and not some zit-faced, content-farming, teen from Macedonia.

If you ask me smart people are starting to realize they are “asking for it” and started unloading several days ago. This is probably why the market did what it did the last few days. Considering the billionaires that financed #FusionCollusion are all billionaires due to FB and Google could it be they have been lightly “punished”? They lost hundreds of millions in days. I don’t think anyone can shrug off hundreds of millions in loses.

Im no lawyer, but I dont understand how thats feasible. I mean, we are dealing with a first amendment issue here, plus the fact that facebook is private property. (Though I can see a civil issue in how facebook takes their money and then bans them)

” I never heard of this guy or his pages because I don’t use Facebook”

Doug Giles has been around for a long time — maybe even before FB existed or became popular. It was his daughter who went undercover as a prostitute with James O’Keefe to take down Acorn. Doug is/was an activist conservative, and a minister, too, I think.

*****Who can forget James and Hannah doing the undercover sting on acorn?*****

It resulted in Acorn having to change their name, splinter into multiple groups to hide their activity while still getting paid. It was a great sting because it showed starkly and in real time what has been going on behind the scenes for a very long time.

I don’t have the video of that sting anymore, and can’t find the unedited video anymore.

What you are advocating is only a half step ahead of the wave.

The website security certificate issuers, GoDaddy, and, what, maybe Amazon as the ultimate host (I don’t know, this is given as illustrative example) are simply the next in line in the current big-tech dissent purge.

Private businesses are restricted by election laws regarding “In Kind” assistance to political parties. Banning conservative content is doing exactly that. But....Hey! ...I am not a lawyer, either, but that’s what it looks like to me.

Facebook is publicly traded private property. I'm not a lawyer either, but as I understand it, as long as it remained neutral, it was merely a platform, and thus not subject to lawsuits over libel/slander.

But now that f*ckerberg as dictated editorial control over the content, fakebook is now more like an online newspaper and therefore IS subject to lawsuits.

If any Conservative group can demonstrate that their banning was the result of a false accusation, sue, sue SUE!

Obviously, he does have a website. Several, in fact. One way he introduced people to his website(s) was through Facebook, where he had hundreds of thousands of followers/likes.

You don’t understand the situation. Doug has several websites. One way he drove traffic to his websites was by sharing his articles on Facebook, where his hundreds of thousands of followers would click to read them.

Doug still has his websites, of course, but the hundreds of thousands of people who clicked “like” on his Facebook page are no longer able to see updates from his website.

Doug spent thousands of dollars building his audience on Facebook, through Facebook ads. Gave thousands of dollars to Zuckerberg to grow his Facebook page. Lots of people on Facebook enjoyed reading his columns. And now, Zuckerberg shut down Doug’s FB pages.

These Facebook mods have names and addresses. How nice if they could no longer cowardly hide behind anonymity.

Well, I’m no lawyer either, but my guess would be that the phone cos. and the power cos. probably started off as private enterprises also. But, as of now at least, you can’t refuse to provide electricity to people because they’re nazis or whatever. So, these companies (esp. google because that basically IS a utility, fb is more debatable) need to be forced to be like the phone company.

All it would take would be for Trump to tweet his reccomended alternatives to twitter and fakebook. I’ll bet he’s seriously considering it.

If Trump moves to another platform, twitter and fakebook would tank 80% overnite. And we’d all move with him.

Facebook needs to be regulated like a utility. It is the phone company....................

I could not agree more and the same goes for Twitter. I don’t use either format but recognize that they both have become essentially public utilities as is the telephone.

Bait and switch. If they had banned us all along we would already have substitutes. They waited until the election to ban us so we would not have time to build viable substitutes.
