"Just like Acid Rain which was supposed to destroy all of the forests in Europe in ten years or Peak...Trillions of dollars were wasted trying to scrub the power generation plants"

Not sure if you meant scap or scrub. Scrapping fossil would cost trillions for no benefit. Scrubbing emissions is about 1-2 cents per kWh. Not cheap but not trillions of dollars. Also it did result in a reduction of acid rain. 1/3 of the cost of my coal plant in Virginia (part of a nonprofit generation pool) was the scubbers. It's sunk cost. I don't want my plant shut down over a hobgoblin (global warming) after we spent our money to solve an actual problem (acid rain).

The scrubbers did not do anything since acid rain was a hoax. There never was acid rain killing trees it turned out it was a microscopic bacteria killing the trees.

The trillions referred to boondoggle solutions to fake science.

Right on both counts, i.e, acid rain was a problem, and global warming is a hobgoblin.

The most cost efficient Power Plants are

1. Nuclear - issues associated with waste storage are solvable but not political acceptable due to fear mongering

2. Coal - two solutions, pulverizing and cleaning coal prior to burning and then Scrubbers for Sulfur removal

3. Natural Gas power plants - Need pipelines to facilities - This leaves the NorthEast Commie country in deep doodo
