(CNN) - Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump was back on the "Saturday Night Live" stage and this time he brought Kanye West with him.
Well, at least Chris Redd's version of Kanye West. The NBC variety show opened Saturday night's episode by tackling President Trump's meeting with West and football legend Jim Brown, who was played by Kenan Thompson, earlier this week.
"Thank you all for joining us today for this important discussion. It's in no way a publicity stunt," Baldwin's Trump said.
Redd's West said that he flew to the meeting using the "power" of his "Make America Great Again" hat. He then went into a long speech about different dimensions and universes that quickly went off the rails.
"Oh, this guy might be cuckoo," Baldwin's Trump said. "I've been in rooms with Dennis Rodman and Kim Jong Un and they made a lot more sense than him."

The old/original SNL was based on satire - like reading an old MAD Magazine...but the current SNL is based on pure hatred.
Well, the question is now,”How long before the next Kanye stands up and encourages the Black community to crawl out of a life of dependency, welfare and victimization?”
And tells the Democrat Party to pound sand.
Won’t be Oprah or Whoopeeeee.
I wonder if some were offended by the skit? I wonder if some will decide it is time to switch sides?
Back when I attended High School during football season we would always have a rally the afternoon of the game. The coaches, cheerleaders, mascots and the players would come out and whipped the students up to a frenzy telling us just what they were going to do to the evil opposing school.
That is what SNL become, a cheering section for the left.
Unfortunately even after a grand pep rally the team occasionally lost, and that is also true for the hopes of the politically left, great rally but you team is going to lose.
This is available on YouTube somewhere as I have seen it.
But does anyone remember back in the 1970’s when the original cast was there they did a piece where there was a truck with a guy and a camera crew going around asking everyone to show their guns. It was hilarious and plays right in to today’s debate.

Ironically, it is or was what Farakan preached. Unfortunately, Farakan is also very hateful, s racist, and anti-Semitic.
SNL = DNCL
Proggies can never, ever honestly portray legal gun bearers. If they did, they could not continue their lies and socialist propaganda.
First let me just stipulate that Alec Baldwins Trump is horrible, and that Darryl Hammond did a perfect Trump for years. All Baldwin can do is hatred.
But there were some funny lines. Mostly from the Jim Brown thoughts. Can a person be tri-polar? Rofl.
The old SNL was generically political, that is like Johnny Carson being political in his monolugues. We can laugh at politicians and their antics in a general way because its funny—both sides. But when “humor” is used as a political weapon, then it becomes “unfunny” and cringe worthy.
Cocaine should be brought back to SNL—at least then the cast was funny even though they were ripped to the tits...
It doesn't make me mad anymore. It's just boring and predictable.
I was wondering when the leftist comedy shows, would ever make fun of Christine Ford.
Christine Ford and her testimony provided lots of material for satire and comedy, if only such people would use it.
I figure that the powers that be decided that Christine Ford is off limits.
Recently Saturday Night Live made fun of Lindsay Graham at the Supreme Court hearings, but nary a joke about Christine Ford.
Shows how the MSM has blurred the lines between newsworthy events and "entertainment."
-—Amazing that a comedy skit is reported as “news” by CNN.——
Exactly my thoughts. When did this insanity start? Also, they do it EVERY WEEK.
So every time SNL (whose ratings/quality are nothing to write home about) does something anti-Trump, it’s “news”?
These guys all suck. Pravda had more fairness.
SNL stopped being funny many moons ago.
The Trump/Kanye SNL thing is blasted across many "news" outlets including DailyMail, Apple News, WaPo, NY Slimes, Chicago Trib, Guardian, NPR, Fox, etc.
And you're right, it's just about every week.
