Leverage makes sense why he does not declassify info that is damaging
to Rat Rosenweasel.
Leverage does not explain declassifying info that clears himself.

Sure it does. In any case, what makes you think that the enemedia and their fellow Never Trumpers will put any faith in anything exculpatory?

I don’t care when Trump declassifies anymore as long as delaying means he continues to have the Spygate perps by their short hairs.

Trump said he got pressure from allies - presumably UK and Australia - to hold back. They are implicated in very bad ways in the whole thing and POTUS will use that leverage you can count on it.

Trump has no reason to declassify info that clears him right now. If he were under the gun maybe, but he is way winning. He can play that card later. There is no case against him, and to make the case the other side has to “declassify” (in other words, they have to prove their case and they can’t prove it with documents that are redacted). So he wins either way. Better to declassify later at this point.

I think Trump will declassify everything at some point. My read on this is that he wants Mueller to make the move first. Mueller should close his investigation soon. And when he closes it with nothing of substance to bring then Trump will be cleared by default. THEN he can declassify and we can go after the bastards who conspired to throw the US election.

Congress has been holding hearings for 2 years. They have tons of evidence and testimony. They are creating a record that will be used later. I think Congress has flipped Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr, and we know James Baker from Perkins-Coie law firm has come clean. I also think Rod Rosenstein has flipped but I am not sure. But by the way they have been buddy-buddy lately it sure sends a message.

Trump has masterfully played the events of the last year plus, and the Democrats (and their media sycophants) have very likely destroyed their mid-term chances by the way they treated both Kavanaugh and Kanye. So Trump can hold back until after the 2018 elections, and after Mueller closes up shop, and then spend then next 2 years prosecuting the criminals in the DOJ/FBI and possibly inside the White House and Cabinet. Then he wins re-election in 2020, GOP rides his coattails to an even stronger hold on Congress and we really start to see the country turn around for the better. And by that I mean draining the swamp, rooting out corruption and inside dealing, bringing patriots into the key agencies and bureaus - the economy should do just fine long term if Trump keeps up the pace.

But Trump is under no obligation to prove his innocence and if he is innocent he has nothing to fear from Mueller. So holding these cards back for use later is the wise move IMO. Let Mueller shoot his wad, because once Mueller is done they have nothing to hold over him and he can clear the board without any resistance. Right now the pressure is on the conspirators and they are going to be rushing to cut deals to save their own skins if they haven’t already.
