So, not to go socialist, but why couldn’t the government own a small-medium energy company to supply the military, supply the emergency reserve and make some money earmarked to apply toward the national debt? Set it up as a Public Utility perhaps.

Plenty of safeguards and “firewalls” would be needed, no doubt.

Probably unconstitutional as hell.

Don’t see anything unconstitutional at all.

The government currently is taking all of the profits generated by Fannie and Freddie. They bailed them out so they are taking the profits.

U.S. coal exports lately have been growing but are expected to fall over the long-term, particularly in Europe.


but then you get the final paragraphs!

Coal exports to Asia more than doubled in 2017, according to the Energy Information Administration.
The rise continued in the first half of 2018 with almost 23 million tons (21 million metric tons) of U.S. coal exported to Asian nations through June. South Korea, Japan and China were among the biggest recipients.
