Donald Trump Announces Houston Rally with Ted Cruz in Texas

President Donald Trump will rally supporters in Houston, Texas, next Monday, according to a statement from his campaign. The event is scheduled to be held at NRG Arena, a location that can seat 8,000 people.

“The President looks forward to celebrating the booming Trump economy that’s delivering new jobs and bigger paychecks to the hardworking men and women across the Lone Star State,” the Chief Operating Officer for the Trump campaign said in a statement to reporters.

Trump promised to campaign in Texas to help Sen. Ted Cruz’s re-election campaign after the well-funded Beto O’Rourke sparked hopes from Democrats looking to flip the Senate to a Democratic majority.

The president first announced his decision to do a “major rally” for Cruz in August.

“I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October,” he said. “I’m picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total endorsement.”

WACH FOR MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD!

They have nothing to lose and everythign to gain. We HAVE TO impress into them that vote fraud will be investigated and there will be mandatory jail time (even if there's not- we just need to scare them off as much as possible)

There will be no investigation of vote fraud if they manage to pull it off- they will be back in charge!

Why is no one talking about this???

I can’t believe Texans would even think of voting for a Beto. All those good conservative companies that moved to Texas unfortunately drew a bunch of liberal to either work or as the family members of employees

Not until such time that engaging in Voter Fraud is equal to the price that is paid to ensure free and open elections will that detestable practice come to an end.

At this point in time, the penalty for Voter Fraud is a joke.

Unfortunately as it now stands the only real penalty for voter fraud is Democrats getting elected.

I had hoped President Trump would make more of this issue. Perhaps if he is able to get an actual Justice Department in place after the midterms he’ll be able to make some progress.

I was hoping for North Texas, DFW metro so we could go see him. Not gonna happen I guess. I wonder why at NRG where that holds only 8000? He could have easily gotten 15,000 or whatever capacity is at ATT in Dallas.

Filling the SCOTUS vacancy was part of it. States pass voter ID laws and judges keep overturning them.

Beto won’t win.... All statewide elected officials are GOP.
Most of the state house and senate are GOP. Both US Senators
are GOP and 25 of 36 US House of Representatives are GOP.

NRG arena is the biggest in Texas?? Not by a long shot. Fake claim by the President!

The arena is next door to the big 67,000 capacity stadium if the tickets warrant it.

Houston? not the most Republican town in Texas

It’s an old political trick to hold events in a smaller rather than a larger arena. Better to completely fill an 8,000 seat venue than to 2/3 fill a 20,000 seat place.

Great point.

Now that we have a SCOTUS that will back up voter ID, it will become the law of the land.

I watch the Right Side Youtube channel of all the Trump events and many times about 20,000 are logged in to watch online. I figure more than one person at a time may be tuned in online so that 8,000 is really just inside that arena, and Trump now uses Huge electronic screens for the people that cannot get in to the event and they watch outside.

But one of these events in total live and online could be 5x
that number plus those watching cable TV.

“I’m picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find.

Seems to be a disconnect here.

Trump would have no trouble filling a 20,000 seat arena. There are said to be security concerns with larger venues which would certainly be a factor in the selection process.
