To: Red Badger

Well...it certainly isn’t my mothers. She bought all my school clothes and suits there in the 70’s. She also swore by Lady Kenmore appl. I got a timex watch for my 13th birthday. My folks got it at Sears. They were also great for tools, tires etc for my dad. That must be their problem. They were mom and dad’s store.

That is exactly right. My daughter called it 'The Fogey Store'. Young people today are so damned style conscious, that they don't want anything from a 'fogey store' like Sears, K-Mart, Penny's etc. We have raised a generation that has no concept of material deprivation or economic depression. They have been spoiled by technology. What will they do when the Internet goes down?............................
