Anderson was not the only GOP candidate attacked. First-time state representative candidate Shane Mekeland suffered a concussion after getting sucker punched while speaking with constituents at a restaurant in Benton County. Mekeland told the Free Beacon he has suffered memory loss—forgetting Rep. Anderson's name at one point in the interview—and doctors tell him he will have a four-to-six week recovery time ahead of him. He said he was cold cocked while sitting at a high top table at a local eatery and hit his head on the floor.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Libs are going crazy...

You have gotta believe that the Democrats are off their rockers. Their irrational hatred of all things conservative and GOP is out-of-control, especially as to Benton County That is a very rural area which was strong for Trump in 2016. Benton County is part of East St. Cloud, an area which tilts left due to being a residential area across the Mississippi River from St. Cloud State University. So, those precincts did go for Clinton, but not by a huge margin. Going further NE from East St. Cloud, you only need to get about 1/2 mile east along MN Highway 23 to reach Trump country.

The little diner/café/saloon patrons, where the incident happened, must be hostile to such behavior against a GOP candidate.
