You could use cactus planted close rather than wire. Plant a bed of Cholla Cactus. Nobody can walk through it. Add concrete “Dragon’s Teeth” Vehicle barriers and you’d have a very effective barrier at the border

Sounds great but we need something that can be done before they reach the border. I like your idea though. Maybe ranchers along the border could start planting cactus.
