Call comes after Trump threatens to stop U.S. aid
The Honduran government called on 2,000 immigrants Tuesday to give up their trek north and return home, just hours after President Trump threatened to withhold $65 million in U.S. money if the countrys leaders dont find a way to head off the caravan.
Hondurass foreign ministry, in a statement reported by local news, said the caravan was being politically manipulated in order to make the country look bad, just days after leaders were in Washington promising better cooperation with the Trump administration.
But no matter what happens with this caravan, security experts say the U.S. is already being flooded with other caravans with hundreds of people on a near-daily basis, and that shows no signs of stopping.
They said its quickly becoming a repeat of the worst days of illegal immigration from two decades ago, when Border Patrol agents regularly nabbed border-jumping groups of hundreds of people.
Were seeing the explosion again, said Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council.

The Mexican government is aiding and abetting them.
They should lose their aid too.
Trump could put an end to all of this shit quickly by declaring a national emergency and ordering the deployment of the 101st Airborne and 1st ID to the Mexican border tomorrow with orders to interdict any and all attempts by individuals to illegally enter the United States using whatever means necessary.
They are important trade partners, it would be racist, it would encourage even more border crossings, etc.
That was the mind set of previous admins...Trump isn't buying any of.
What I don’t understand is why he isn’t sanctioning the Mexican government for escorting them to the border.
Not really. The Mexican government used to let them pass through, for political propaganda purposes - but of course DID NOT let them stay in Mexico. However it appears that even Mexico has had a wake up call and now it doesnt sound like theyre going to permit even this.
I dont think its Trumps money threat thats causing this, but the fact is that Trump has given Mexican pols the courage to stand up to this manipulation. So we shall see. The new president of Mexico is a raving leftist, but at the same time pragmatic, and Trump is also pragmatic.
Appreciate your thought, but if we are using the 101st would suggest orders to "repel" would be more economical. {;^]
Never has it been more critical to reform our immigration laws so these illegal crossers can be immediately flown to farthest spot in Mexico and we need that wall built so they can’t just walk across or float across the river.
I'm a desperate man...
LOL.
Forget the lawyers and money. Just bring lots of guns.

President Trump, all eyes of friends and enemies are on YOU, and it’s now time to sh*t or get off the pot. Are you going to protect the USA and its citizens or allow this invasion upon our sacred soil? WE’RE WAITING, MR. PRESIDENT!
Mexico has DECLARED WAR on the United States.
Put the military on the border and tell Mexico unless they want to start a major war, cash stops, trade stops and illegal immigration stops right now. Otherwise get ready for the revenge of the Alamo!
they should have lost aid 20 months ago.
Election year stunt funded by Soros.
I think they realize that Trump is running out of patience - they seem to be taking at least token actions since he made his statements...I bet he made other statements directly to s few folks down that way....
