Faced with allegations on social media of sexual misconduct with teenage boys, Carteret Mayor Daniel Reiman requested restraining orders this week against four people -- including his Republican opponent and an alleged victim -- to keep them from making defamatory statements about him.
Reiman, a Democrat running for his fifth term as mayor, denies claims he is a "sexual predator" and said he does not want Carteret voters to be swayed by the allegations when they go to the polls in three weeks.
"While it is campaign season and underhanded tactics may be expected, there is no place in our political process for such baseless and vicious claims," Reiman said in a statement. "I am fully confident the voters will not be duped by this intentional misrepresentation."

Let’s just presume him to be guilty until he proves that he’s innocent. I’ve heard that’s a popular approach to this sort of thing.
But it’s perfectly alright to falsely accuse Brett Kavanaugh.

Sorry, after Kavanaugh many of us will make NJ Democrats guilt until proven innocent.

I’m not a fan of bearing false witness. I don’t care what political party it’s coming from.
What this whole thing is, is a redefinition of words. They have so broadened the meaning of the phrase, “Sexual predator”, that it makes all males and females past the age of puberty and with a normal libido “sexual predators”.
Somebody needs to watch “When Harry Met Sally”.
This is the human condition. We all, by design, are “sexual predators” in the same way we are “hunters and gatherers”.

IF the Judge gives him such a blatantly unconstitutional protective order you’ll know the fix is in.
You know, we said the same thing about Kavanagh. Yet you people piled on and piled on and piled on, with the phony gang rape allegations and other lies and defamations done to a good, decent man. You don't like it when it's done to you, do you?
Innocent until proven guilty is a Constitutional right. Demonicrats refuse the Constitution so you do not deserve rights granted the Constitution. Who supports baby killing?, the democrats. Who are the real war criminals? Check your own history lefties.
