I believe the model 60 one of the first if not the first Stainless steel revolvers S&W made.
I have a model 66 (19) from the early 70’s. (Bangor-Punta)
“The revolver is not actually pointed at the camera-person.”
I hate to disagree, but there’s no indication of who or what the student is pointing the gun at. Could be the cameraman, some other of his homies, a rival gang or the prophylactic/ze products dispenser on the wall. Heck, he could be in mid-waver as he waves the weapon back and forth in a threatening or taunting motion. At least he’s been kicked out of school.
And the difference is???
I don’t think it was ever accepted for a child to bring a loaded revolver to class.
“”Look at the chambers of the revolver cylinder on the left as you look at the picture””
Whose left - our left or the kid’s left? Our view of the left doesn’t show any of the left side of the gun...If it’s the kid’s left, it would take a good imagination to see anything in the chambers..
Looking further than the first replies, I see it means the kid’s left - and definitely can see better the shells in the chambers... Sorry!
The only thing I did notice immediately was his finger was off the trigger.
Looks like well worn blued steel to me.
I would expect stainless to be much brighter.
A model 60 is just a stainless model 36.
To all you gun expert FRiends, what is that black plastic thing on the right side of the revolver?
There are rounds in the cylinder. You decide ...
I think that is an image artifact left by the person who fuzzed out the faces.
I think what you’re seeing is part rubber grip and part shadow.
They made the 36 in nickel plated too........
Grossly and excessively redundantly repetitive!
Little Trayvon wannabe.
Not to mention, says the same thing. Bigly.
About 20 years ago, a “teen” brought a gun to my rural school and spent his time pointing a gun at the teacher while she was writing on the blackboard. The scary part was that none of his classmates said a word about it until a year laterafter he had moved out of the district. It came up during class one day when a kid said, “Remember when Deterius (not his his name, but very like it) brought his gun to school and was pointing at Mrs Walden?”
After my jaw came up from the floor I asked the class (small school, only one classroom per grade) why they hadn’t said anything to anyone. He apparently threatened lots of them with guns outside of school and they were scared to tell anyone. A part of me was suspicious that they might be pulling my leg, but they all agreed, including the utterly reliable kids, that it had happened.
Severe cultural clash.
Was Deterius from outside the area?
