When the Masterpiece Cakes case was decided by SCOTUS, Kennedy was the fifth vote (with the four liberals being against the baker), and if Kennedy wanted a narrow ruling then a narrow ruling it would be. The cases that are percolating up the courts in which liberal judges and circuit panels have refused to respect the Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Speech of bakers, photographers, etc. will be decided by a SCOTUS in which the four conservatives who favored a broader ruling for individual freedom are joined by Kavanaugh, and I am confident that the b1tch-slapping of loser courts will be severe.
When I typed “loser courts” that rule against the Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Speech, I meant “lower courts.”
But maybe I was right the first time ....
