CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV Web Staff) - President Donald Trump is coming to Charlotte next week to campaign for Mark Harris. He plans to visit Friday, October 26.
Trump visited for whirlwind trip in August to raise money for Republicans Mark Harris of the 9th District and Rep. Ted Budd of the 13th.

Trump is expected to rally at 7 p.m. at Bojangles Coliseum, located at 2700 E. Independence Boulevard. Doors will open at 4 p.m.

Both Budd and Harris are in districts that Democrats have targeted. Their respective opponents, Kathy Manning of Greensboro and Dan McCready of Charlotte, have both outraised the Republican candidates.

Off topic a bit, but I recently became aware that the forces of evil are claiming that the Trump inauguration photos showing a tiny crowd are genuine, and the photos showing a big crowd are photoshopped.
What is true?
I’m about 20 miles out, too. I’ve got my 2 tickets and plan on going.
Trump is ramping it up. I expect 2-a-day rallies in the last week or so.
Surrounding areas are pink to very red around CLT, though. CLT is ~600k pop but greater MSA is 1.5m.
And how big are the Democrat rallies?
Trump generates tons of voter enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, the Democrat rallies are about as well attended as a Hillary Clinton rally in a half filled high school gym.
I would have never picked this city for the convention, with ANTIFA it will be worse than Chicago 68.
The city of Charlotte is filled with liberals and minorities. They all came down from the north to destroy a reasonable southern city.
That race is between a liberal who claims to be an independent who refuses to tell anybody what his platform is versus a guy by the name of Harris who is up-front about his conservative views.
The newcomers are trying to turn a conservative city into a northern city hellhole.

If Republicans hold the house and expand their senatorial majority after Ryan and some forty R incumbents ran for the hills, Trump will positively own the party.
No President has ever campaigned this hard for a midterm election as President Trump. Not even close. Just amazing!
