At least 77,000 people have signed up for President Trumps Houston rally on Monday to support incumbent Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, who is locked in the Texas Senate battle with Democratic Congressman Beto ORourke.
The Houston Chronicle reported that Houston police will be fully mobilized for the rally. Attendees must have tickets to enter and will be admitted in the order that they line up, the report said.
"Keep in mind that once the capacity is met, you won't get in whether you have a ticket or not," an officer said.
More than 77,800 people had signed up for the rally by Friday morning, according to The Chronicle. A person familiar with the event told the paper that the Trump campaign was not considering a move to a larger venue.

Thats 77,000 that will vote for the senate candidate, though. Because of Trump.
Jerrys place is in Dallas. This is Houston. Should have had it in NRG Stadium which has 80,000 seats.
Take that Beto.
Stupid name for an Irishman.
Truth be told, he doesn’t care about this election. This campaign is only to get his name out there for his POTUS run in 20.
Heh heh heh....
Paging The Daily Mail....
I honestly want the best for Senator Cruz short of replacing Trump as President.
I hope that Trump gives him a chance to really shine Monday. I hope Trump lets people know how blessed we are to have Ted Cruz.
FRegards ....
“””At least 77,000 people have signed up for President Trumps Houston rally”””
And how many Democrats are signing up for rallies by Barrack Hussein Obama or Hillary Rodham Clinton or Nancy Pelosi or Indian Squaw Elizabeth Warren or Mad Maxine Waters or any of the other Democrat Headliners?
True :)
Trump’s team played Johnson City, TN like that. 6,500 were in Freedom Hall itself, while 1,000 people watched the president speak on large screens inside Freedom Halls auxiliary gym, and between 1,500 and 2,000 people stood outside and watched on large screens near Liberty Bell. The Secret Service estimated another 10,000 were on the grounds just to be part of the event and soak up the magic.
Optics like that are great.
Likewise here.
I know that. They should'a had it at either Jerry's place or NRG stadium. Heck, why not do both?
Great indeed, but it sucks for the supporters who can’t get in.
I’m sure it does, but I’d bet there is a happy, festively atmosphere among so many patriotic true conservative Americans. Such meetings of like minds are very energizing.
Ted is one lucky guy. Trump has coatails en masse.
Please forgive any spelling or grammar mistakes. I woke up and decided to check in, though
Wow!! Amazing. The president is more popular than the media gives him credit for.
Don’t forget to vote in the midterms! He needs all the jelp he can get.
