Well, since this is a world with new rules, Trump doesn't have to prove anything. (The Kavanaugh hearings can attest to that new set of unwritten laws).
Besides, the "evidence" is in the timing, and just in time for the elections. The "spur of the moment" caravans didn't happen during the summer, and, WHAT A COINCIDENCE THAT THEY MAGICALLY MATERIALIAZED JUST BEFORE THE ELECTIONS!!!.
One would have to be a complete fool to believe otherwise, or one is just part of the scheme and conspiracy, hoping that nobody would notice the "coincidental" timing.
